HONDA CB250

This bike came in for a service and it was found that both the steering stem nut and the steering stem washer were damaged. Not too much of a big deal but with it being for the steering, then these needed to be fixed asap. I am very happy checking through various manufacturer schematics as these are where you find the part numbers you need to search on Webike. You can also use the search function per manufacturer and model and year on Webike but I find it easier doing it from the schematics. When I go the right part number, Webike price was superb and way better than my local Honda dealer could beat. Along with the steering stem washer I had both shipped together. This meant that both would arrive when I need them to. In 5 days the order arrived. The nut and the washer were both well packaged and inside a bubble wrap envelope made by Webike warehouse. The nut it nothing too special but it does need to be right. The machine work is flawless and the threads in the inside are perfect. The steering stem was cleaned and this nut and the washer went on without issue. With a lovely satin steel sheen to the nut it all went on easily. A bike that came in for the service was found to have a few parts on the steering that were damaged and needed addressing pretty quickly. Although the washer and net were damaged, they did not cause any issues with the bike and the riding of it. Never the less, these needed changing at some point and now was the time I wanted to fix them. Finding the right washer for this bike was easy enough and I checked Honda schematics. Having found the right part number, Webike had these in stock and ready to ship. I did also order the steering stem nut whilst I was ordering and got them both shipped together using EMS. In just 5 days my order arrived. Everything was well packaged and where needed, extra padding was added. The washer is not a special washer but it is an important one. The diameter is as it should be and the thickness is spot on with the specifications needed. It is a top quality washer and well machined. Along with the steering stem nut, I fitted these new parts and the steering was back to how it should be. Hopefully, this will last a long time to come. About quality and texture, I can confirm that the quality is great and that the material used is a moulded rubber with a pattern that adds grip.About the feeling of use, The gear change pedal rubber for the Honda Monkey 125 is a durable piece that adds comfort for when shifting up gears but does wear over time warrenting replacement.Products to buy together, Other rubber wear items like the foot peg rubbers would be ideal to also add to your cart to freshen these parts up over time.Difficulty of installation, I can say the fitment of the gear change pedal rubber for my installation was very easy due to the simple nature of pressing the hollow section of the rubber over the metal toe rod on the pedal, heating the ruber with air or water will aid this process.Cost performance and comparison with other products, The pricing of this product is great. You receive a pedal rubber that is made from a quality material and at this price I can't see it being cheaper elsewhere.About shipping and packaging My order was shipped within 24 hours of the product being in stock and I received a few emails advising me of the status up until the order was dispatched. This was a replacement for the existing hose clip that had been beaten up over the years and due to being removed a few times, had become loose and weak. Although you probably can get away with not being perfect but if you are like me, if a job needs doing, it needs doing well. Not specifically an expensive part so why not just change it. Finding the right part was not hard as I do use the help pages and links Webike provide on their help pages. I also cross referenced with Honda schematics to make doubly sure. The part was good value for what it does. I do always have more than one part in my basket for ordering as this help spread the cost of shipping. I used EMS as I have done for a number of months now, and every time, my order arrives promptly and on time. 7 days from being shipped from Webike warehouse and my order arrived. The parts were all really well packaged and no damage to anything at all. The hose clip is not really a special part but it did need to be the right size for the hose I needed it for. Really well made and has enough give in it to manoeuvre over the hose to make sure it was secure. Fitting is really quick as it just slips over the hose and slides up.
