Engine
The main attraction is undeniably the engine characteristics. The original 903cc engine was scaled up from 66mm to 1,197cc with a larger bore diameter of 76mm, and the pistons and cylinder liners were modified to make it a virtually new engine. Everything from the valves to the camshafts and even the crankshaft was modified and adjusted to reflect the latest know-how. The crakshaft was overhauled, bearing replaced, centered, pin welded, connecting rod weight matched, weight grinding completed.
JB-POWER selected this rubber band oil cooler which has excellent performance and a beautiful design. In the early 80's Superbike racing era when the oil cooler was installed and run, rubber bands were used to secure the core. This was because other methods had durability problems and had unstable elements such as cracks from vibration. Of course, the rubber band itself deteriorates and must be replaced periodically.
Intake & Exhaust
JB-POWER KEIHIN FCR carburetor φ35 advanced pre-setting is performed based on data accumulated from many riding tests on both track and street. A bearing is used in the throttle actuator to achieve a significantly lighter operating feel. Inheriting the traditional high-efficiency venturi, overflow loss is reduced, enables increased power at high rpm and the diaphragm type acceleration pump enables powerful acceleration.
A Titanium hand-bent full exhaust, ultra-thin titanium with a thickness of only 0.7 mm has resulted in a lightweight product with outstanding performance, beauty, and sound quality.
Chassis
The wheels are made of magnesium, which is about two-thirds the weight of aluminum, and boasts high strength. The rim section is warm-rolled forged by spinning, and then finished by machining them on a high-performance NC machine tool.
High manufacturing technology that produces "ultra-lightweight," "ultra-rigid," and "ultra-precise" products has resulted in a higher grade of perfection. Both front forks and rear suspension are set up with exclusive specifications.
It is an aluminum swingarm, made of a specially manufactured eye shaped aluminum tube, which looks simple, but is light and strong. The chain adjuster is eccentric and a drive chain box is provided to prevent oil splash. For the rear suspension, JB-POWER used JB-POWER KYB rear shock absorber then the overall length has been reduced from 390mm to 355mm.
For the front forks, the type adapted to the Z1000J is used and the overall length is increased from 805mm to 815mm.
Bodyworks
A beautiful low type step with hard anodized finish. Features a retractable step to leave it in its natural state.
A handelbar with high tensile steel, classic vehicles from Z series to ZEPHYR and others are set to be in a "natural position".
