The R stage complete engine for Monkey (FI) 106cc is a high spec engine at a reasonable price which is less than the total amount of kit parts and assembly labor. The Complete Engine is a high quality engine that has been assembled by SP Takegawa mechanics with proper control of each part. In the case of SP Takegawa's complete engine for Monkey (FI), it is not possible to install the engine with the stock suspension, and it is necessary to change to front fork kit, 10 inch wheel and long swingarm. The R stage complete engine 106cc is almost the same length as the stock engine, so the engine can be installed even with the stock suspension.Also, the stock throttle body and stock air cleaner box can be used without modification.
■R stage head Large diameter valves based on the standard head shape IN: 26mm / EX: Adopted 22.5mm.(Stock valve is IN: 20mm / EX: 16mm) This is SP Takegawa's original cylinder head that was developed by constructing the optimum valve pinching angle, combustion chamber shape, and port shape in conjunction with the use of large diameter valves. With the improved intake / exhaust efficiency and the increased displacement combined with the injection controller, the power output is very high.
・Port The port diameter of the stock head is 20mm for both IN and EX, while the port diameter of the R stage head is 20mm for IN: 24mm / EX: Larger diameter of 20mm. In addition, the adoption of a 3-dimensional port shape, combined with the larger diameter of the valve and port, makes it possible for more intake and exhaust gases to flow smoothly.
・Valve (IN: 26mm / EX: 22.5mm Valve Stem Shaft Diameter: 4.5mm) The weight increase due to the larger diameter of the valve is kept to a minimum by waist machining.
・Valve Spring Single valve spring with unequal pitch (2 pitches) is adopted to prevent surging at high rpm.
・Camshaft The cam profile is specially designed for the R stage head to maximize the power of the R stage.
■Ceramic plated cylinder / machined aluminum forged piston Displacement is 106cc with increased bore and stroke
・Ceramic-Mexi Linder The cylinder is an all aluminum ceramic cylinder with excellent durability, airtightness and heat dissipation. In addition, the cylinder is equipped with a boss for oil removal to allow oil removal to the oil cooler.We recommend SP Takegawa Oil Cooler Kit. If the oil cooler is not installed, use the supplied oil plug bolt. Since the M5 temperature sensor can be installed on the oil plug bolt, the cylinder temperature can be measured by using SP Takegawa's compact LCD thermometer kit with M5 temperature sensor.
・Machined aluminum forged pistons It is made of forged solid aluminum and is finished with high rigidity while being lightweight.
■Crankshaft / Oil separator ・50mm stroke crankshaft The crankshaft body has been balance cut for low vibration and light weight.The crankshaft journal bearing has a special bearing with a larger inner diameter to accommodate high power engines. As a result, the shaft diameter of the journal section, where the stress on the crankshaft is concentrated, can be increased from 20mm to 22mm to improve strength.In addition, the crankshaft has been given a special surface treatment to further increase durability.
・Oil separator with built-in bearing By incorporating bearings in the oil separator, the crankshaft shaft is supported by a total of three bearings. It reduces shaking and vibration caused by the weight of the flywheel and brings out the best performance of the engine.It is especially effective in the high rpm range of large displacement engines.
■Reinforced Crankcase / Reinforced Clutch / Transmission ・SP Takegawa's original reinforced crankcase specially designed for Monkey (FI) SP Takegawa's original reinforced crankcase is a high quality crankcase specially designed to increase the rigidity and detail of the crankcase to cope with the load on the crankcase caused by the larger displacement. The oil pump is a crankshaft direct drive oil pump. Compared with the chain drive type reinforced oil pump, the discharge volume is about twice as large. The breather pipe has an inner diameter of 6mm to reduce the internal pressure of the crankcase of a large displacement engine. The crankcase body is equipped with an oil jet mechanism that constantly sprays oil directly onto the small end of the connecting rod and the backside of the piston for lubrication and cooling. The transmission bearing is equipped with a special bearing hold plate for big torque.
・Super cam chain tensioner is adopted It follows the cam chain and maintains the proper tension.The tensioner arm is made of high strength super duralumin material and the thickness of the arm has been increased to make it more durable The strength of the body has been improved and the ground contact area to the push rod has been increased.An oil hole is provided in the arm to lubricate the operating part. The surface is hard anodized.
・Primary kick starter system is adopted With a primary kick starter, the engine can be started by disengaging the clutch, no matter what gear it is in. In the case of a primary kick, the engine can be started without direct stress on the transmission.
・Reinforced clutch The reinforced clutch uses 5 discs to eliminate clutch slippage that occurs in high power engines. The clutch cover of the wet special clutch (primary type) is made of magnesium die-cast.The surface is painted brown. The clutch cover is a patented clutch cover that allows for the installation of a thermostat. Overcooling can be prevented by installing a thermostat unit (sold separately).Furthermore, an oil outlet is provided to allow oil to be taken out to the oil cooler. The wet type special clutch (primary type) comes without a slipper clutch mechanism as standard equipment. The slipper clutch mechanism reduces the shock of sudden engine braking when downshifting at high RPM. This reduces sudden posture changes, rear tire hopping, and load on the engine.
・TAF 5-speed cross transmission The TAF 5-speed cross-transmission combines high durability with excellent operation, and is available in two gear ratios: S Touring and Super Street. Complete standard equipment is S Touring 5 speed.
■FI-CON PLUS (Injection Controller) ・FI Controller PLUS for Monkey (FI) No troublesome PC connection is required. The injection controller "FI-CON PLUS" was developed by SP Takegawa to fit the R-stage 106cc complete engine for the Monkey (FI). The high performance R-stage cylinder head and the large engine displacement allow you to get the most out of your engine specs. FI-CON PLUS has a 3-dimensional fuel map inside, which is calculated at high speed based on the signals from various sensors, and can perform the best fuel injection according to the engine conditions. In addition to the fuel injection circuit, the ignition system circuit is also built in, and the ignition timing is also optimized to suit the complete engine. These allow the ECU to be used up to higher RPM than the rev limit of the stock ECU. The basic map is set by the difference of the camshaft and the exhaust. The fuel correction and limiter speed settings from the basic map can be easily set by simply turning the rotary switch on the FI-CON PLUS unit with a screwdriver.
